Simple and short story, big message

Read the Marathi translation of the book by Madhuri Purandare.
A very short book ( one can finish in one go ) ; simple narrative account of a chance visitor; very interesting and inspiring story of a native man who alone decided to plant trees on a barren land in Alps and did it single-handedly; dedicated his entire life for the cause. Irony is when during the two World Wars the entire world was on the verge of destruction, this man, Mr Bouffier, was patiently struggling for bringing back life to the region. Simple work but noble cause makes one extra-ordinary.
Credit to the writer who through the fictitious character of Mr. Bouffier tried to give the great message which is relevant even today ( rather shameful its more relevant today )
